Hennes kärlek till poesi, läsning och målning är utan tvekan också hennes styrka. Denna diktsamling är en samling dikter hon skrev inspirerade av verkliga känslor för älskade personer i sitt liv och tragiska händelser runt omkring henne. “Rumeysa’s verses, no matter how youthful or teenage, carry the whole burden of a young life and shed light on several aspects of life. Poems represented here speak about pain and the internal struggle to get over a loved one, mature thinking about parting, its finality, or the inevitable reunion. Through poetry, Rumeysa escapes from the deep pain that she at the same time wants to embrace with her hands. With the loss of a close person, her aunt, whom she loved and with whom she had a very close relationship, an emptiness and fear of pain opened in her, which led to the writing of the poems that this book begin with. These are also very successful poems from a literary perspective, especially if we consider that the author is a teenager who dared to write her most intimate feelings in English. Her choice gets more impressive knowing the fact that she was born to Bosnian parents in Sweden, where she was growing up natively speaking the Bosnian language and getting official education in the Swedish language… The most common poems are about the suffering and genocide that is happening in front of all mankind without any significant interventions or attempts to stop it, to save innocent lives. Especially the lives of children without a way to escape such a violent death. And should we say so insignificantly, considering that no one is doing anything to stop this suffering. In addition to the poems, she dedicated to the suffering of Palestine and Palestinian children, Rumeysa also painted many pictures that she sold to raise money for humanitarian purposes.
