The collection is shown to the public in about 50 hotels around Scandinavia and Finland. The starting point and immediate ambition of Petter Stordalen was to “re-define the meaning of Hotel Art”. Every single hotel in the world has art, and most often in level with the quality of the hotel. As the art collection has grown and the number of hotels with a focus on important artistic statements has increased. With new challenges comes new opportunities and the number of artists involved has grown significantly. Both for more specific acquisitions but also commissions and directed assignments.
